Exploratory Search An exploratory probe into the Statutory period (post 1855). This category is less time consuming, and therefore less progress will be made in comparison to the more comprehensive primary and extended searches.

To commence a successful search we need a name and at least approximate details of one 'life event' (birth, death or marriage) for one actual person whose ancestral line you wish to investigate. This must be in Scotland, and preferably after 1855.
