Welcome to Kilberry Sporrans

The sporran is always required to be worn with the kilt. It sits in the centre of the front apron and is held up with a chain strap.

The Kilberry Sporran range covers day, semi formal and full evening wear. Many of the sporrans shown are suitable for pipe bands and the full horsehair sporran would be appropriate for pipe band number 1 dress.

Boys sporrans are included in this range and these also fall into the above categories.

The style of sporran to be worn is determined by the style of jacket being worn with the kilt, i.e.

• Tweed Jacket - Day sporran
• Argyle Jacket - Semi dress sporran
• Prince Charlie - Dress sporran

About Kilberry

Kilberry is a specialist bagpipe making company and its owner, Neil Manderson, has been playing pipes and wearing the kilt since the age of six. Most customers of Kilberry will at some point need to wear a sporran as this is an integral part of Highland Dress. Kilberry has been trading successfully for more than 10 years and as the range of bagpipe sales has steadily increased, so have the requests for sporrans and belts.
